I grew up in the Midwest. My godparents still live in Minneapolis. I am sick and enraged due to the murder of Renee Nicole Good. My heart hurts for her family, specifically her children and partner, and especially her son, who is now an orphan.Â
This Administration wants us to be afraid, or angry, or generally emotional. It's human to feel these things. I know I can't let these feelings overtake me and cloud my judgment. What I can do is get more involved - calling politicians, attending vigils, participating in rallies. As my favorite political coach, Heather Cox Richardson, said earlier today, we need to resist with joy and passion. Why - It pisses them off.
